PA6 Nylon Expandable Braided Cable Sleeving

MJ FLEX BRS-PA6 is an expandable braided sleeve made from polyamide 6 monofilament. It combines flexible cable bundling with strong resistance to routine abrasion and repeated handling. The open braid expands over connectors and irregular bundles, then contracts around the installed harness, making it suitable for machinery, vehicle and equipment wiring where PET may not provide the preferred nylon toughness.

Why Choose PA6 Nylon Braided Sleeving?

    • Improve protection in high

PA6 provides a tough braided barrier for cable bundles that rub against frames, housings or nearby components.

    • Fit connectors without a split construction

The expandable braid enlarges during installation and recovers around the cable bundle.

    • Balance toughness and flexibility

The sleeve follows bends and changing bundle profiles without the weight of rigid conduit.

    • Support application-specific production

Available test information can be matched to the proposed size, installation location and customer project specification before approval.

    Key Features

    ● Note: Expanded range describes geometric capability, not the preferred continuous operating point. Selecting near maximum expansion increases braid openings, reduces surface coverage and shortens installed length.

    Typical Applications
    Industrial machinery
Protects control and sensor wiring from rubbing against frames, guards and moving equipment surfaces.
    Automotive and specialty vehicles
Bundles harnesses in areas requiring flexible routing and stronger mechanical protection.
    Robotics and automation
Controls cable disorder and surface wear along articulated or repeatedly serviced routes.
    Power tools and production equipment
Protects internal leads from vibration, handling and contact with housings.
    Marine and outdoor equipment
Provides tough cable organization where moisture exposure and mechanical handling must be considered together.

    How to Select

Provide the minimum and maximum cable-bundle diameter, largest connector, bend radius, abrasion level, temperature, fluids and required documents. PA6 absorbs more moisture than PET, so dimensional or mechanical requirements in tightly controlled applications should be reviewed under the expected service condition.

    Customization Options

    • Size and expansion range - Nominal diameter and braid angle can be reviewed against the cable bundle and largest connector.

    • Color options -Black is standard; other colors can be evaluated according to quantity and raw-material availability.

    • Cut-length service -Pre-cut pieces can be supplied with agreed length tolerance and end treatment.

    • Packaging and identification-Roll length, carton quantity, private labels and project references can be customized.

    • Application-specific construction-Braid density and yarn selection can be reviewed when abrasion, flexibility or coverage requirements differ from the standard product.

    Testing and Compliance

PA6 performance depends on the selected resin grade, yarn and conditioning state. RoHS, REACH and halogen-free documentation may be supplied for approved materials when applicable. Standard PA6 should not be described as UL 94 V-0, VW-1 or FMVSS 302 unless the ordered construction is supported by the corresponding report.

    Quality Assurance

    • Incoming yarn verification - Material identity, color and filament condition are checked before braiding.

    • Braid consistency control -Operators monitor coverage, pick pattern and surface defects during production.

    • Dimensional inspection -Nominal diameter, expansion behavior and connector pass-through are checked against the approved specification.

    • Length and packaging checks -Roll length or cut length, labeling and package quantity are verified before release.

    • Final visual inspection-Finished sleeving is checked for broken filaments, contamination, irregular braid and damaged ends.

    Frequently Asked Questions

    01. How is PA6 different from PET sleeving?
PA6 is normally selected when nylon toughness, flexibility and abrasion behavior are preferred. PET is often chosen for general-purpose cable management, dimensional stability and broad commercial availability.
    02. Can it expand over connectors?
Yes. Select a nominal size that can pass over the largest connector and recover around the cable bundle.
    03. Is PA6 automatically flame retardant?
No. Flame performance depends on the specific material and construction. State the required standard when requesting a quotation.
04.Can custom cut lengths be supplied?
Yes, subject to length tolerance, end finish, packaging and minimum-order review.
