Typical Applications
Electrical and electronic equipment
Protects internal wiring where a V-0-rated sleeve material is specified.
Industrial control cabinets
Organizes power, signal and control wires while addressing a defined material-flammability requirement.
Battery and energy-storage equipment
Covers auxiliary and low-voltage harnesses inside cabinets; system-level requirements remain subject to project review.
Charging equipment
Protects cable bundles in charging modules and electrical enclosures.
Appliances and instruments
Provides organized, abrasion-resistant routing where flame-retardant polymer components are required.
Transportation electronics
Protects equipment wiring when the component specification identifies UL 94 V-0 rather than a vehicle or railway test.
First confirm that UL 94 V-0 is the actual requirement. It is not interchangeable with VW-1, FMVSS 302 or EN 45545. Then provide the bundle diameter, largest connector, temperature, installation location and required approval documents so the proposed construction can be checked before quotation.
Customization Options
• Approved size selection - Nominal diameter is matched to both the cable bundle and the largest connector while maintaining suitable coverage.
• Braid coverage - Construction can be reviewed within the limits of the tested material and approved production specification.
• Cut lengths - Hot-knife cut pieces can be supplied for repeatable equipment assembly.
• Identification and traceability - Project labels, lot numbers and document references can be added to packaging.
• Commercial packaging - Roll length, inner packing, carton quantity and private label options can be customized subject to approval.
The referenced flame-retardant PET construction is intended to meet UL 94 V-0 material flammability performance. V-0 is not equivalent to VW-1, FMVSS 302 or EN 45545, and it does not certify the complete wire harness or end equipment. Applicable test reports and RoHS, REACH or halogen-free documents should be matched to the exact ordered construction before publication or approval.
Quality and Supply Assurance
• Controlled flame-retardant material - Production uses the approved PET formulation linked to the applicable technical documentation.
• Lot and process traceability - Raw-material batches and production records are retained for order traceability.
• Braid and dimension inspection - Coverage, nominal size, expansion and surface condition are monitored during manufacture.
• Length and labeling verification - Rolls or cut pieces are checked against quantity, tolerance and required compliance identification.
• Document review before shipment - Requested reports and declarations are checked for relevance to the supplied construction.
01. Is UL 94 V-0 the same as VW-1?
No. UL 94 classifies plastic-material flammability, while VW-1 is a vertical flame test associated with wire and cable products.
02. Can the sleeve expand over plugs and terminals?
Yes, within its designed expansion range. Provide the largest connector and bundle dimensions for size selection.
03. Does V-0 mean the complete harness is certified?
No. The classification applies to the referenced material or sleeve construction. The final equipment or harness may require separate evaluation.
04. Are test reports available?
Applicable reports can be supplied for review, subject to confirmation that the requested construction is covered.
