    Provide continuous and peak temperature, flame or smoke standard, voltage environment, abrasion, fluids, movement and required approvals. Do not apply paper-insulation ratings or generic Nomex data directly to a braided sleeve; confirm the yarn grade and finished construction.

    Frequently Asked Questions

    01. Is Nomex the same as Kevlar?
    No. Nomex is meta-aramid focused on heat and flame performance; Kevlar is para-aramid focused on strength and cut resistance.
    02. Does it melt like PET?
    Meta-aramid does not behave like common melt-processable polyester, but the exact heat response must be confirmed.
    03. Is every Nomex sleeve UL 94 V-0?
    No. A rating requires test evidence for the exact finished construction.
