    Typical Applications

    • Transformer lead protection

Insulates winding leads and terminal connections where heat and dielectric performance are critical.

    • Electric motors and generators

Covers coil leads and internal wiring exposed to vibration, heat and confined routing.

    • Power supplies and electrical equipment

Protects component leads, bus connections and internal conductors from contact and heat.

    • Industrial controls and sensors

Protects fine signal and power leads where moisture stability and controlled wall thickness are required.

    How to Select

Measure the largest OD, including insulation joints or terminals the sleeve must pass over. Choose the voltage grade from the applicable equipment standard rather than voltage alone, and confirm wall thickness, clearance, creepage and environmental conditions. Check the route temperature, flexing, moisture, oils and abrasion.

    Customization Available

    • Sizes & Dimensions - Multiple standard inside diameters are available to suit conductor diameters, terminal dimensions and installation space

    • Color and identification - White is the standard color. Alternative colors and product identification options can be reviewed based on material requirements, production conditions and order quantity.

    • Packaging - Roll lengths, product labels, batch identification and customized packaging can be arranged according to order requirements.

    Testing and Compliance

GF-IC-S Silicone Coated Fiberglass Sleeve is designed for applications requiring heat resistance and reliable electrical insulation. Available in 1.5 kV and 2.5 kV constructions, it meets the specified VW-1 flame-retardant requirements. The product shows no cracking after aging at 260°C for 6 hours, no stickiness, deformation or softening after the specified water-immersion test, and maintains withstand voltage at no less than its initial value after temperature endurance testing at 200 ± 2°C for 168 hours. These test results support the evaluation of product performance under the specified test conditions. We maintain consistent product quality through raw material selection, coating and curing process control, and dimensional inspection.

    Quality Assurance

    • Raw Material Verification - Fiberglass braiding materials and silicone-resin coating materials are verified against approved product requirements.

    • Coating and Curing Control - Coating coverage and curing conditions are monitored to support uniform coating, stable adhesion and consistent product construction.

    • Dimensional Inspection - Inside diameter and wall thickness are inspected against the applicable tolerances and product specifications.

    • Surface and Workmanship Inspection - Products are inspected for cracking, uneven coating, exposed fiberglass braid, contamination and other visible defects that may affect quality.

    • Final Inspection and Traceability - Part number, withstand-voltage grade, dimensions, color, quantity and packaging are checked before shipment, with relevant batch records verified according to order requirements.

    Frequently Asked Questions

    01. What is GF-IC-S silicone coated fiberglass sleeving used for?

Is designed for insulating transformer leads, motor connections, coil wiring and internal electrical circuits. Its flexible coated construction suits applications requiring compact insulation and thermal protection.

    02. What is the difference between the 1.5 kV and 2.5 kV versions?

The two versions feature different insulation constructions and wall thicknesses. Selection should be based on the equipment's insulation requirements, applicable standards and the specified dimensions for each grade.

03.How do I select the correct sleeve diameter?

Measure the outside diameter of the wire, lead or cable bundle, including any section the sleeve must pass over. Choose a suitable inside diameter that allows installation without excessive stretching or a loose fit.

04.Can the sleeve be used around moving wires or vibrating components?

GF-IC-S provides flexible insulation for electrical assemblies. For applications involving repeated movement or vibration, confirm the bend radius, routing conditions and abrasion requirements before selecting the sleeve.
