Kevlar Expandable Braided Cable Sleeving

MJ FLEX BRS-KV is a lightweight braided sleeve made from para-aramid fiber for cable and hose protection where high tensile strength, cut resistance and low weight are priorities. The textile braid protects vulnerable jackets from sharp edges and mechanical damage while remaining flexible around complex assemblies.

  • Why Choose BRS-KV?

    • Reduce cutting and tearing damage

High-strength aramid fibers help resist sharp-edge contact and mechanical abuse.

    • Protect without heavy armor

The low-density textile adds less weight than many metallic protection systems.

    • Reinforce demanding cable routes

Braided construction distributes local loads around the bundle.

    • Maintain flexibility

The sleeve follows bends and irregular harness shapes.

    Key Features

    1. Para-aramid fiber braid

Provides high strength at low weight.

    2. Cut-resistant textile structure

Helps protect cables from sharp edges.

    3. Abrasion protection

Reduces jacket wear in high-contact areas.

    4. Flexible bundle fit

Conforms to curved and irregular routes.

    5. Nonmetallic construction

Avoids electrical conductivity of metal braid.

    6. Low stretch behavior

    Supports stable coverage under tension.

    7. Custom protective builds

Size, braid density, layers and cut lengths can be reviewed.

    How to Select

Define the main hazard: abrasion, cut, tensile load, heat or flame. Provide bundle range, movement, edges, fluids, UV exposure and end-finishing needs. The sleeve protects cables but is not a certified load-bearing rope, ballistic product or electrical insulation unless specifically tested.

    Customization Options

Size and braid density - Matched to coverage and flexibility.

Layered construction - Additional layers can be evaluated for protection.

End finishing - Binding, coating or prepared ends by agreement.

Project packaging - Cut kits, labels and OEM cartons available.

    Testing and Compliance

Kevlar is a registered trademark; use the name only when verified branded fiber is supplied. Otherwise use para-aramid braided sleeving. Flame, ballistic, cut-level and temperature claims require exact construction testing. Material declarations may be available.

    Quality Assurance

Fiber identity - Aramid yarn grade and color are verified.

Braid inspection - Coverage, yarn damage and surface defects are checked.

Fit and dimension - Size, length and expansion are confirmed.

End and packing check - Fray control, labels and quantity are verified.

    Frequently Asked Questions

    01. Is this sleeve cut proof?
No material is universally cut proof; performance depends on yarn, braid and hazard.
    02. Can it carry structural loads?
No. Use it as protective sleeving unless a load-bearing assembly is specifically engineered.
    03. Why are the fibers yellow?
Natural para-aramid fiber commonly has a yellow appearance.
